From time to time I get into a "funk". I get buried working IN MY business that I don't make the time to work ON my business. When this happens I'm grateful so so many around me, including my team, who get me back into shape.
People like Liz Caruso a business coach and event planner (and more), who nudge me to move forward.
At the 2019 Smart Hustle Small Business Conference we'll have Tony Chatman (author, speaker) share his powerful insights in how WE business owners can be the best we can be. His book, The Force Multiplier: How to Lead Teams Where Everyone Wins is a good starting point on this.
The Smart Hustle Small Business Conference is an ALL DAY event where you'll find inspiration, excitement and INFORMATION to grow your business. Find out more information here and register. Also at the conference will be Josh Cohen founder of uber "hustle" company, Junk Luggers.
There's many variables that can impact the success of your business. None of them are as powerful as how ourselves.
Indeed our team might not be performing as they should. But are we HIRING the right people?
Indeed, technology might not be working as it should. But have we bought the right technology?
Indeed, we might not be getting enough sales, but do we have the marketing plan in place to earn those sales?
At the end of the day, it's about how we EXECUTE.
So how can WE get out of our own way?
- Be aware of your limitations.
- Ask your team for their input in HOW things are going and LISTEN.
- Write down the 2 or 3 things that you do VERY well. Everything else seek help.
- Hire a coach who you can work with on a regular basis.
- Have a mentor(s). People who you can look up to and call for advice and a shoulder to cry on.
I hope you learn from Tony Chatman and other speakers at the Smart Hustle Small Business Conference. Register here.
